Complex Pelvic -Acetabular Injury

Complex Pelvic -Acetabular Injury

51 years old lady came with pain in left hip and pubic region with left lower limb shortening. She had history of road side accident 2 months back for which she was treated conservatively with traction somewhere else. Preoperative xray showed vertical shear pelvic fracture injury with superior migration of left hemi pelvis. On traction stress view pelvis was coming back. Thus she planned for anterior and posterior pelvic ring reconstruction. Post operative xray showed anterior and posterior ring stabilization done with plates and screws with restroration of hip center as compared to other side. Clinically limb length discrepancy corrected. Now patient is able to mobilise with walker and comfortable. These pelvic ring injuries required meticulous surgical fixation for good outcomes.

We routinely perform such complex pelvic injuries at Sant Parmanand Hospital with great outcomes.
